These terms are a plain-English agreement between you and Tenvia. By creating an account or using tenvia.co.uk you agree to them.
Tenvia is a platform that connects people looking for housing with housing providers and landlords who welcome tenants on benefits. We are not a landlord, letting agent, housing provider, council or care service, and we are not a party to any tenancy, licence or support agreement you enter into. We verify providers before they can list, but we cannot guarantee any listing, placement, outcome or timescale. If you are homeless or at risk tonight, contact your local council's housing team — they have legal duties Tenvia does not.
You must be 16 or over, give accurate information, and keep your password safe. Using Tenvia as a home-seeker is free — we will never charge you to search, apply or get help from our team. Provider and landlord accounts are reviewed by our team before activation and may be declined or revoked.
Be honest and be safe. You must not: share or solicit contact details before an application is accepted (our systems remove them and repeated attempts flag your account); post content that is false, unlawful, discriminatory or abusive; use Tenvia to harass anyone; scrape or copy the platform; or attempt to access other people's accounts or data. Messages on Tenvia are automatically screened for contact details, and may be reviewed by our team when investigating abuse or safety concerns.
By listing on Tenvia you confirm that: you accept applicants whose income includes Universal Credit, Housing Benefit or other benefits, and will not reject applicants solely for receiving them; your listings are accurate, lawful and yours to offer — or you are expressly authorised by the owner or provider to list on their behalf, and you disclose who you act for if we ask — including any photos; you (or the party you act for) hold the registrations, licences and insurance your service requires (including CQC registration and HMO licensing where applicable); and you will treat applicants fairly and comply with housing, equality and consumer law. Listing fees and any offers or promo codes are as shown in your dashboard; where a fee applies and no successful tenant is found within 30 days, it is refunded as described there.
You keep ownership of what you post, and grant Tenvia a licence to host and display it for running and promoting the platform. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Tenvia is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of providers, landlords or home-seekers, for tenancy or support arrangements made between users, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk. Sections that should survive (liability, content licence, disputes) survive.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales. If we update these terms we'll post the new version here with a new date; significant changes will be flagged on the site or by email. Contact: hello@tenvia.co.uk.
